D-ARCH Enabling Grant

With the Enabling Grants, the department promotes and supports its professorships in launching new project initiatives that promise to effectively strengthen the department. The aim of the enabling grants is to facilitate the development of third-party funded project initiatives in teaching, research and transfer at an early stage.

Requirements

  • Applications explain how a project, if successfully implemented, will lead to a sustainable impact in at least one of the five strategic areas of action.
  • Applications show how the enabling grant will enable the acquisition of significant external funding (third-party funding) for the implementation of the proposed project.
  • D-ARCH will be informed about the success of the project initiative (e.g. confirmation of external funding approval) and about the project results upon completion.

The enabling grants are used exclusively to initiate new strategic projects that are also relevant to third-party funding. They do not finance their implementation, i.e. no actual project activities and documentation. Accordingly, no contributions to ongoing projects (including publications, events, demonstrators, etc.) or existing project deficits are possible.
The decision on the allocation of funds lies with the Executive Board in consultation with Lisa Giordano and depending on the current availability of funds.
