About Us

The Department of Architecture dates back to 1855, when the founding of the Federal Polytechnic School led to the establishment of the School of Building. Today, D-ARCH offers an internationally leading environment for research and teaching in the fields of architecture, landscape architecture, urban design and spatial planning. It offers four bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes, three doctoral programmes and a wide range of continuing education courses. D-ARCH is based on the Hönggerberg campus and is also active in Zurich Oerlikon, in Zurich city centre and at the Future Cities Laboratory in Singapore. With more than 40 professorships and over 2,000 students, D-ARCH is one of the largest departments at ETH Zurich.
