Application Process at D-ARCH

Integration/ The grant applications need to be explicitly supported by the institute. Every Applicant needs to have a mentor at the Institute she/he intends to work at. The mentor informs the institute head about the intention to submit a proposal.

Age limits/ Candidates who are not older than 35 at the beginning of their project will become an Assistant professor of ETH Zurich for the time of their project duration. Candidates who are slightly older than 35 years need to check with the Office for Faculty Affairs their eligibility for an Assistant professorship.

Space Requirements/ Space needs to be provided by the institute. The department cannot provide space. If no space is available at the institute, the institute head contacts the department coordinator in order to clarify the overall situation.

Support Letter/ If the grant applications are supported by the respective institute and the space requirements are met, the Department (Dean) provides the requested Letter of Support and the confirmation regarding the space requirements.

Professors Conference/ The mentor presents the proposal to the Professors conference before the official submission date.
