AGN Workin Group for Sustainability at D-ARCH

Are you ready for the new semester? Because we have prepared something for you:

There are already many people and organisations that are working towards a sustainable architecture practice and education. The climate crisis leads to numerous problems in all aspects of society, which need a multitude of approaches, solutions and visions. It is not enough to only focus on one aspect of the sustainable future. We have to be aware of all challenges and consequences, learn from each other and build visions together.

With the virtual exhibition visionenzusammenbauen accompanied by various events we want to show different ideas and visions and bring them together.

As part of the Sustainability Week we start with a discussion. With the help of collages, organisations sketch their visions and how they want to initiate change. It’s about finding similarities, building connections, but also questioning our visions and approaches.

With the second event, part of the Sustainability Week, The Sustainable City is an Inclusive City, we invite you to experience Zurich with new perspectives. In collaboration with Architecture for Refugees we created an audio guide which leads you to different projects and places within the city, that make Zurich more inclusive. Because only an inclusive city, is a sustainable city. The week ends with a roundtable on the architecture of inclusion with the people behind the voices and together we will discuss how inclusion is connected to sustainability, and how we can collectively make the city more inclusive.
