CURREV Curriculum Revision

The study programmes at D-ARCH are dynamic and continuously evolving, balancing a culture of best practices in teaching with innovative learning formats. Currently, all programmes are undergoing a curriculum revision aligned with PAKETH. All members of the department are invited to take part in the process.

"Our goal is to establish an interconnected teaching culture"

The revised Bachelor of Architecture at ETH Zurich starts in the autumn semester. In this interview, Elli Mosayebi, Vera Kaps and Steffen Hägele explain the revision, the goals and the process behind it.

The CURREV Process is…

transparent. It maps out clear goals and milestones for the decision taking process.
participatory. It includes all members of D-ARCH (Students, Mittelbau, Staff, Professors)
interdisciplinary. Actors of all fields of competencies take part.
incremental. Previous results, findings and documents are in dialog with new proposals.
… open-ended. Its aim is not only a written document but a curriculum that is alive.

PAKETH

“The PAKETH project launched by Rector Günther Dissertori is intended to give teaching more scope for development and students more freedom to ensure excellent education in the long-term as well. The introduction of PAKETH is planned for the autumn semester 2027.”

The ETH-wide regulatory adjustments of PAKETH form the basis for the curriculum revisions at the D–ARCH. The current status of PAKETH is summarized here.
