Study Regulations 2025

In the sixth semester students write a focus work.
The focus work is credited with 4 ECTS and can be completed with any D-ARCH professorship.

Study Regulations 2017

Students following the regulations BSc 2017 can and MSc 2017 (entering the programme from FS 2017 onwards) must produce focus work, which replaces the previous Wahlfacharbeiten (thesis electives).

Focus work is not connected or linked to the content of an elective but is carried out in the respective field of specialization of the different institutes. Themes can be suggested by the students, but they are established by the chairs in consultation with the students. Once the chair has confirmed the supervision, students can register the course in mystudies.

Focus works can be written in cooperation with all chairs of the five institutes. However, supervision can be turned down for content-related reasons.
