D-ARCH Enabling Grant

With its Enabling Grant, the department encourages and supports professorships to launch new project initiatives that promise to tangibly strengthen the department. A contribution of matching funds is expected from the professorships.

Successful applications demonstrate how the project implementation leads to a sustainable impact in at least one of its five strategic areas of action. They show how the co-funding by the department enables to generate significant external (third-party) funding for the proposed project initiative. A notification to D-ARCH concerning the outcome of the project initiative is expected.

The goal of the Enabling Grant is to help kickstart new project initiatives in an early phase. As such, it does not cover teaching or research activities themselves or their final documentation, nor does it cover deficits of already running projects.

The decision for approval is taken by the Executive Board in consultation with Lisa Giordano considering the current availability of funds.
