Center for Advanced Studies in Architecture (CASA)
The Center for Advanced Studies in Architecture aims to enhance the research culture within the discipline of architecture and to ameliorate the career perspectives of emerging academics by enhancing the conditions for researchers.
Provisions
The Center for Advanced Studies offers fellowships for fellows – both from ETH Zurich and external, namely:
- postdoctoral researchers in history & theory of architecture, architecture & technology, preservation
- candidates with professional experience in design, architecture & art, urbanism, landscape architecture and related areas.
Fellows are expected to show presence within the school and participate in the Center for Advanced Studies Conference that takes place every semester. They are expected to work in relation to existing resources (technology platforms, gta Archives, Bibliothek Werner Oechslin, ETH Bibliothek), and engage in the activities of the school.
- The stipends correspond to the salary of an average postdoctoral position.
- Travel costs and accommodation are paid by the fellows.
- Workspace is provided.
