Bachelor Architecture
The bachelor education takes three years. During this time, 180 credit points (according to the European Credit Transfer System) must be earned. Additionally, six months of internship are to be completed. Entrance into the first semester is only possible in the fall.
To complement one’s studies, a wide range of interdisciplinary subjects including Social Studies and the Humanities can be taken at either ETH Zurich or the University of Zurich.
The language of instruction is mainly German. Classes and examinations take place in German or English (for courses held in English). However, ETH does not offer a Bachelor program solely in the english language. The language requirements for prospective students can be viewed here.
The successful completion of the course of study results in award of a Bachelor of Science ETH in Architecture (BSc ETH Arch).

Every year in September, ETH Zurich invites high school students to gain an overview of the academic offerings in architecture and other disciplines.
Prior to the beginning of the academic year, all newly registered students receive an invitation from the ETH to a prestudy event at the Department of Architecture. In these events, students receive a detailed orientation for the course of study at the D-ARCH, meet fellow future students, and get tips from and may ask questions to current D-ARCH students.
Participating in prestudy events does not replace the participation in the mandatory welcome events on the first day of studies!
