3. Portfolio/internal enrolment
General information Master's thesis is provided in German and English, but:
Dates and deadlines are only published on the German website.
Requirements Portfolio
The portfolio consists of three parts, one free, one mandatory part, and a motivation letter.
A. Free part
Assignments during studies (e.g. architecture and art), internship assigments or other work that is suitable for presenting one's own profile.
1. A cover sheet containing: name, first name, matriculation number of the applicant
2. Free presentation of the assigments/work
3. Format and scope - free
B. Design work during studies
Complete presentation of three design semester assignments from the Bachelor's or Master's degree programme at ETH Zurich or another educational institution.
1. One cover sheet per assigment/work, containing:
- Name, first name, matriculation number of the applicant
- Designation of the design work
- Specification of the semester in which the assignment was produced
- Specification of the professor under which the assignment was produced
- Indication whether it is/was a one-on-one or a group assigment
2. The reduction of the semester submission which was displayed at the final critique (of every A0 to A3). These documents should not be re-layouted, but only attached to the document in the correct order. Photos of the models should / can also be submitted.
3. Format:
- PDF- or Zip-file
- DIN A3 size paper (landscape)
The three term papers can be submitted as a pdf file.
C. Letter of motivation
Reason of the choice of programme/cooperation; research/education.

Internal Enrolment
The students enrol, specifying their priorities and uploading portfolio and motivation letter.
Attending a specific design class prior to the Master enrolment or achieving certain design grades are not prerequisites for mentoring.
